DUBLIN AIRPORT AUTHORITY MEETING

There was a comprehensive discussion regarding the various problems at the airport.
A dispatcher is to be present in the holding area at busy times. They will be in place until the monitors are repaired.
Pot holes are to be repaired again.
The representative groups and Ciaran Carton to view the various problem areas within the current system i.e. the camera and possible relocation of the ramp in the holding area to reduce the delays on entry to the taxi holding area. The permanent lifting of the barrier at certain times.
There was great concern regarding passengers being let down on the arrivals road. If the departures area is busy, passengers can be let down in area 14 which is situated at the car park.
Management have been advised that all fees due are to be withheld until further notice. This is due to the various problems that have not been addressed.
A further meeting is to be held on the 15/08/2008 to assess progress.
