I propose answering questions Nos. 95 and 128 together. An outline proposal for a draft subsidy scheme to assist with the purchase of wheelchair accessible taxis and hackneys was received by my
Department on the 16th January 2007. This proposal is being examined and will require consultation with other bodies such as the Department of Finance. Pending completion of this examination I am not in a position to indicate whether such a scheme will be established.
