I propose answering questions Nos. 95 and 128 together.  An outline proposal for a draft subsidy scheme to assist with the purchase of wheelchair accessible taxis and hackneys was received by my

Department on the 16^th January 2007.  This proposal is being examined and will require consultation with other bodies such as the Department of Finance.  Pending completion of this examination I am not in a position to indicate whether such a scheme will be established.
